This Aussie varietal has a black cherry hue with aromas of rustic green fruit up front with riper red berry and touch of mocha with fresh dark berries at the rim.
Palate--Soft tannins, fruit forward, mid palate with rich darker berries and herbal finish with lasting mouth feel.
This Barossa Cabernet is easy drinking if a little "manufactured" but pleasant with a slightly green after taste.
I don't remember what I paid for it but it runs around $13 which is a decent price for this single vineyard entry level Cabernet. It would pair well with grilled meats, hearty cheeses, tomato based sauces and pizza which is what I will be having with it. Not remarkable but solid.
