Deep, nearly black hue with aromas of subdued fruit with unsweetened Baker's chocolate with rustic savory spices and a touch of sweet pie spice.
Palate--Thickish texture, with big bold first impression of intense dark berries, silky tannins, and espresso on the finish that lingers with more blackberries trailing.
This is a Trader Joe's value Zin costing a crazy $8.50. This wine will hold for several more years but is drinking just fine right now. I f you love Zinfandel you will love this so raise a glass.
